The Study Centre for Coach Education at the Faculty of Kinesiology University of Zagreb represents a fundamental institution in the educational process for basketball coaches in the Republic of Croatia.

By way of its continuity in education, the mentioned study has enabled education for a large number of basketball coaches who currently act in the wide range of basketball activities in a number of various functions.

Each year over 30 students enrol in the study where numerous coaches and lecturers from Europe and across the world pass on their knowledge and experience.

The current study programme offers the possibility of enrolling in the professional study which is implemented during a total of 6 semesters, i.e. during 3 years. Students attend courses from the general plan and programme (Functional Anatomy, Physiology of Sport and Exercise, etc.) in odd semesters (I, III and V), whereas in even semesters students attend courses from the specialist programme (Anthropological Analysis in Basketball, Kinesiological Analysis in Basketball, Methodology in Basketball I, History, Rules and Organization of Basketball, Methodology of Physical Conditioning in Basketball, Methodology of TE-TA preparation, Training Programming in Basketball and Training Effects Control in Basketball). The study is both implemented as a full-time study and a part-time study.

Enrolment requirements for the study are the following: secondary school diploma (from a four-year secondary school), passed classification examination, good health status and successfully passed admission procedure.

In addition, all students who successfully complete the mentioned study have the possibility of continuing their education within the specialist graduate study (4 semesters – 2 years).
